Smooth Volcano Tobacco Pipe

Tonni Nielsen apprenticed under Hans "Former" Nielsen and Teddy Knudsen at the Larsen factory in the 1970s, and that training is well evident in this smooth Volcano. With abbreviated length, most of the dynamism of the piece is vertical. The underside is domed, with a well-defined ridge line providing a very low waistline and tapering up from there for the Volcano shape. The transition is crisp and demarcates the shank, which is flattened at the top. Grain is consistent around the bowl, and is especially pleasing on the shank. The gentle curve of the stem matches all the other curves of this complex piece, and is in saddle configuration. It's a broad and hand-pleasing design, sure to furnish comfortable smoking and endless visual interest.
