Although this Apple leans more towards a traditional style, it still showcases the clean lines and proportions expected from Il Cerchio. The base of the bowl has a substantial heft, which feels satisfying to hold. The gently curved flanks of the bowl enhance the overall feel in the hand, while the squat design creates an appealing profile. The round shank features a horn accent, adding a nice pop of color to the design, leading to a sleek vulcanite stem with rounded shoulders at its base. The stummel is adorned with a honey-blonde stain that highlights impressive grain patterns: Tendrils of cross grain sweep across the flanks of the bowl, while swirls of birdseye encapsulate the heel.
