About This Pipe
Only the second reverse Calabash piece we've encountered from Tonni Nielsen, this bent Dublin piece is both tubular and organically-inclined, while adhering to a very elegant, easy look in profile. With plateau at the rim and shank end, it sports a gently-pinched transition, leading simultaneously to its trumpeting bowl and rearward-flicking shank. Tonni chose to dress this piece in a vibrant contrast, an apt choice considering all the marvelous grain to be found here. With its spacious internal chamber, this reverse Calabash design from the esteemed carver is certain to prove a fine testament to both form and function. Highly recommended.
