Sandblasted Bent Dublin Reverse Calabash (Ohi) (G) (225) Tobacco Pipe

Though the work of Yoshirou Ohi is commonly considered to be the most complex, line-wise, amongst the artisans of Tsuge Ikebana's lineup, judging by this compact, succinct reverse Calabash bent Dublin, the artisan can fashion a unique, fairly minimalist form with ease and precision. Despite its relative simplicity, Ohi's taken it a step further, softening the linework around the rim's blasted birdseye, and pairing it to a contrast-stained shank face at the opposite end. It presents something of a tubular aesthetic in profile, and given its internal design, the weight is remarkably light for such a muscular briar.
