About This Pipe

One of America's most talented artisans, Bill Shalosky could be said to have some experience in pipe making, having fashioned pieces for Smoker's Haven, Chheda Pipes, and BriarWorks. He's an artisan with the utmost respect for the craft, and he draws on all manners of pipes for inspiration. This bent Billiard is one of Shalosky's more conservative designs, possessing a fairly traditional outline embellished by a colorful pallete. Up front, a pert, full-bodied bowl stands atop a wide heel and grows thick walls that taper ever-so-gently to a flat, taut rim. This gentle taper rounds out the bowl's frame, producing supple contours that conform naturally to the hand. An angled transition follows the bowl and marks the start of a short, trim shank that quickly gives way to a long, arcing mouthpiece. Said stem is fashioned from brindled vulcanite and displays a gorgeous mixture of gray and beige hues that immediately capture the eye. A warm, glossy smooth finish completes the ensemble and highlights striking grain throughout the stummel.
