Now an accomplished artisan at BriarWorks, he cites "every pipe ever made" as his source of inspiration. While he often favors the compact muscularity associated with American pipe making, his open-ended design philosophy results in a multitude of unique pieces, such as this handsome bent Egg.

Toeing the line between an Apple and an Egg, this pipe combines the plump, low-set waist characteristic of an Apple with the softly canted, elegant lines of an Egg. The design is distinctly organic, featuring a long Maple Burl accent that spans most of the shank and displays its own striking grain patterns. The shaping flows naturally, highlighted by an undercarriage line that curves gracefully along the piece. Topping off the design is a stylized saddle stem of vibrant green and blue vulcanite, with subtle design patterns marking the rounded shoulders before tapering smoothly to the bit. The stummel is finished with a deeply textured sandblast, emphasizing stacked growth rings along the bowl's flanks.
