Although this type of forward-reaching bent Egg is one we've seen from Gabriele before, this rendition could certainly be the most understated, as well as the sleekest iteration. The form displays an emphasis on plumpness about the bowl, using a proportionally lean shank to properly accentuate it, yet without sacrificing anything in the way of a lithe, gestural disposition. The sandblast is one of light depth, accentuating a fine display of blasted rings aft and fore cascading in ripples across the briar's surface. A phenomenally handsome piece from Gabriele.
