A lively, well-composed piece, it features a forward-canted bowl paired to an upturned shank and a gently arcing saddle stem. The bowl's dynamic stance brings energy to the profile, counterbalanced by the measured flow of the shank and stem. Rising from a reserved heel to a broad, plateau-crowned rim, the bowl offers ample chamber capacity within its thick walls. The shank expands into a broad, ovoid ferrule of Patagonian rosewood, which receives the aforementioned stem, made of rich cumberland. A warm, ruddy sandblast dresses the stummel, revealing crisp growth rings that lend both texture and visual depth to the composition.
