About This Pipe
More elongated of form than many of Wolfgang Becker's pieces, this bent Egg presents a forward-reaching bowl followed by a gently flaring, upward-stretching shank. Neatly-tucked at the transition and sporting a lively curve at the underside, in this shape the eye is led naturally to an accent of pale boxwood, making for a handsome contrast to the briar's dark-stained sandblast and very slightly downturned saddle stem. The feel in hand is substantial and firm, while the lightly blasted texture offers a pleasant stimulation in hand. Lovely work here from Wolfgang.
