About This Pipe
Quite an artful take on the bent Dublin shape, this piece from Micah Cryder features a tall, strongly tapered bowl paired to a trim, abbreviated shank and a long three-knuckle stretch of bamboo. Micah's balanced the whole composition elegantly, with that flattened foot along the underside allowing it to sit with the shank and stem kicked high in the air. Finished in a striking, warm contrast, licks of flame crescendo up the flanks, terminating in a rolling display of lively plateau, the use of which has become something of a signature of Micah's sitting Dublin shapes. A must for collectors, this is seriously good work here from Yeti.
