About This Pipe

By finishing this freehand in a craggy partial sandblast along the aft and back of the flanks, here Scott's created two protruding, bark-like ridges along either side, slightly raised in comparison to the smooth polished fore. The result is a beautiful contrast of rugged ring grain and smooth-polished birdseye, of dark and light. It works quite well with the sort of bulbous character of the bowl as it protrudes slightly out along the low-set waist. The accenting horn mount is lengthy, flaring slightly along the end, and the bit is trim and slim — perfect for a clench.
