About This Pipe

Il Cerchio, an Italian marque founded by Angelo Del Prete, offers handcrafted pipes prized for their harmony, balance, and consistency — qualities shared with the brand's namesake: the circle, or "il cerchio" in Italian. With a fondness for many of his fellow pipe makers from all over the world, Del Prete doesn't confine Il Cerchio pipes to just one style. Instead, they come in a wide variety of shapes, showcasing equal mastery of the Danish, Italian neoclassic, and Anglo-French styles.

This is a rather sizable offering from Il Cerchio, measuring well over six and a quarter of an inch in length, and housing a chamber well over two inches deep. The generous chamber capacity makes this offering well-suited for longer smoking sessions, while the protracted, languidly bent shank-and-stem arrangement ensures a comfortable posture during said sessions. In terms of finish, Rimensi has done an incredible job reading the briar and maximizing it to its full potential. Concentric growth rings decorate the bowl's aft wall, radiating out from a central point, while the fore of the bowl displays tightly packed birdseye — all dressed in a crisp, ruby-tinged sandblast. Only the rim remains smooth, showcasing handsome flame grain and adding a flash of textural contrast to the composition. A slender accent band adorns the junction; its crisp white hue stands out strikingly against both the rich stain of the stummel and the classic jet-black of the vulcanite stem. Skillfully shaped and finished, and living up to the elegance of its namesake, this Swan is sure to make a beautiful addition to any pipe collection.
