About This Pipe
This first batch of Sam Adebayo pipes can be basically divided into four fuller-bodied shapes, and two trimmer numbers. It may just be a coincidence, but I couldn't help but notice that the fuller-bodied ones sport more outgoing palettes created (in part) by his use of vintage bakelite or juma stems, and/or bakelite accents. For the leaner shapes, on the other hand, the palettes are more classic: one being a black sandblast with pale bamboo and a black vulcanite stem, while this one goes for an only slightly warmed over, slightly smoky contrast stain followed by classic black vulcanite. Both also represent his most directly Danish of shapes in this first batch as well.
