About This Pipe
Named after an Italian nobleman, Ser Jacopo was founded by famous craftsman Giancarlo Guidi after he left the Mastro de Paja workshop. The Ser Jacopo workshop is known for creating the Pesaro shaping aesthetic and crafting classically rendered Italian pipes with unique, flourished finishes. The workshop's Maxima stamp denotes some of the largest pipes it offers, each a stunning example of Italian craftsmanship. This particular bent Dublin has received that stamp six times. The bowl sits almost upright, its height immediately capturing the eye in typical Italian style. The thick, sweeping shank and well-bent acrylic stem enhance the piece's curvaceous profile and add a nice juxtaposition next to the tall bowl. Ser Jacopo's iconic Rowlette finish dresses the stummel, featuring carvings throughout the bowl that mimic the look of dripping wax, while the shank remains smooth for eye-catching contrast.
