About This Pipe
After making his so-called "pipe pilgrimage" across Europe, the young Brad Pohlmann eventually returned to the U.S. in the 1970s and began crafting his own pipes at The Briar Workshop in Vermont. He would later pursue a career in computer science before returning to the industry. He now crafts deftly engineered pieces that offer countless reliable, relaxing smokes, including this bent Billiard.
Measuring a little under 5.25 inches in length, this is a tight-knit piece, yet it still retains a strong sense of fluid elegance. The bowl boasts a generous chamber, and the upturned shank-and-stem arrangement aids in a comfortable smoking posture. Weighing a touch over an ounce, it's sure to make an easy jaw hanger — and with its dark, rugged sandblast, cumberland stem, and Ivorite accent, it's quite a handsome one at that.
