Smooth Horn (17) Tobacco Pipe

We've probably told you about Li's perfectionist streak by now, but if you needed some visual confirmation of that fact, look no further than this Horn, balanced to such a degree of perfection that not only does it sit, but sits at the exact angle that Li shaped the piece to be viewed at. Mounted in military style (with a tapered tenon and mortise) reinforced by a flush ring, so as not to detract from the composition with any raised fittings, the stem has been shaped in such an exacting manner that the negative space created by it's ultra slim profile itself contributes to the balance of the piece. It is, simply, perfection.
