About This Pipe
As much time, labor, and expense pipemakers put into coming up with strong, clear contrast stains, the palest briars still hold a special place. The reason for this is simply because, while a contrast finish can make the most of truly special grain, something like this Heding virgin finish is remarkable because it cannot disguise even the tiniest natural flaws. Every piece of briar has those flaws; it is the nature of a natural material.
