About This Cigar
The first of the Padrón family to arrive in Cuba, Dámaso emigrated from the Canary Islands in the late 1800s. The patriarch rented a small plot of land and began tobacco cultivation, initiating not only the Padrón legacy of quality cigar production but also setting the precedent for the family's commitment to honor and humility — values that still guide and permeate every Padrón cigar.
In honor of Dámaso, Padrón presents the Dámaso cigar. It's the first in their portfolio to feature a Connecticut wrapper, grown in Ecuador and encased with Nicaraguan long-fillers. Offering a mild- to medium-bodied profile, the Dámaso is marked by nuanced flavors of cream, sweetness, cedar, and subtle pepper.

A lot of different flavors that lasted too long

ongest in the series, with a cool burn and perfect construction. But, while I did enjoy the transitions and appreciate the skill involved in crafting such a smoke, I grew tired of those same flavors due to how long it lasted. I can’t see myself trying this vitola again or buying a box from this series, but I’ll always keep some No. 8s and 12s in the humidor for when I want —or can offer— something different that has the quality only Padron can give....Read More
