About This Pipe
In Tom's Sara Eltang line (designed and finished by Tom) there were at least three different Rhodesian shapes, that I've seen. As far as Tom's own personal pipes go, however, the Rhodesian has been very rare indeed. I've seen exactly one, as in one, single Tom Eltang pipe of Rhodesian type previous to this. Admittedly even in this case the shape is really mostly Rhodesian only; the tall and softened style of the bowl would make a good argument for there being a significant amount of Acorn in this shape as well.
That's fine. The more important parts of a pipe design are after all that it is pleasing to the eye and in hand, and practical in arrangement for the purpose of smoking tobacco out of it — not how easily it is fitted completely into just one specific predefined shape-type. With its soft form, easy curve, Billiard-like chamber, good, thick walls, wealth of grain, and seamless use of horn, I'd say that in this (mostly) Rhodesian Tom has covered the essentials very, very well. But then, it would be very unusual indeed if Tom didn't.
