Smooth Bulldog with Horn Tobacco Pipe

From textbook classic renditions to more novel forms like the Eskimo, Tom's range of Bulldog shapes is impressively vast. We've seen a number of these iterations over the years, you see, but very few have even been similar. Even this more traditionally oriented piece differs from our previous examples, sporting a taller style of bowl with the waistline positioned slightly higher than you might expect. The treatment of the heel is also different, something of a throwback to older iterations in its jaunty, Ilsted-like spur. What remains constant in each new piece we receive, however, is Tom's excellent engineering and detailed attention to grain orientation. Finished in one of his signature contrast stains, the latter is readily apparent. As for the former, I guess the only way to know for sure is to experience this Bulldog's exceptional smoking qualities for yourself.
