About This Pipe
Italian artisan Claudio Cavicchi boasts over 50 years of pipe-making experience and possesses an uncanny talent for bringing out the very best from a block of briar. His portfolio is full of evocative interpretations of classic shapes, and he is known by many artisans to have some of the best grain in the world, with even his non-graded pipes rivaling the top-tier pieces of other workshops.
Though his non-graded pieces are impressive in their own right, this Diamante bent Dublin is something else to behold entirely. To receive the prestigious Diamante grade, a piece must be completely flawless in both grain and shaping; such is the case with the bent Dublin offered here. In addition to the seeming confluence between the stummel's shaping and the briar's exceptional grain, the shaping remains exceptionally distinctive and unmistakably "Cavicchi." The transition is quite stylized, and eye-catching in profile, and the bowl's craggy crown of plateau entices the eye as well. A rare showcase of the very best the seasoned artisan has to offer, this bent Dublin is a must-have for any collector of Cavicchi's work.
