Sandblasted Bent Dublin with Bakelite (427) Tobacco Pipe

Slightly removed from his more dramatically gesturing renditions, this sprawling bent Dublin is well on the lithe end of things for Yeti. Micah's pieces are often compact, though this jaunty fellow makes use of a more bullet-shaped bowl up front, the likes of which we've seen the carver play with before, and opts to dress it in a warm, virgin sandblast to allow the grain to take center-stage. And it does just that, with layer after layer of tight ring-grain climbing the smoothly tapering form, and emanating in handsome waves across the briar at large. Complemented by a cyan bakelite stem, it makes for an affably summery composition, and one that's sure to elicit a compliment or three.
