About This Pipe
Quite an architectural approach to the Poker shape, the bowl is presented with towering, Stack-like proportions and an added hexagonal, paneled arrangement. Such a geometrical interpretation of the shape lends itself well to his chosen medium of morta, as the stark color and stony texture gel to create an imposing stummel. Had Chris paired it with a traditional black stem, it would have been quite an austere piece, however he elected to use a playful tangerine and blue polyester, creating a playful, avant garde personality.
