About This Pipe
A pupil of Jens "Tao" Nielsen, pipe artisan Henri Sørensen is often seen pulling inspiration from the Danish greats, including Tom Eltang and Poul Ilsted. Sørensen's portfolio is full of intricately designed, well-structured pipes, including this Billiard. A true Nosewarmer, this lightweight pipe comes in at less than four and a half inches long while housing a compact tobacco chamber, making it a great option for travel and on-the-go smoking. Classically Danish in design, the bowl of this Billiard possesses a slight taper as its walls reach the flat rim, adding some softness to an otherwise structured piece. Out back, an arrow-straight shank-and-stem arrangement brings up the rear, the latter wrapped in an accent of osage orange at its base. The accent adds a light color contrast to the darkly-hued pipe, with the inky vulcanite stem pairing well with the ruby-tinged stummel, sandblasted for textural intrigue.
