Italian artisan Massimiliano Rimensi crafts pipes under the Il Duca name, a tribute to the historic dukes of his native Ferrara. While his work draws influence from Danish, Italian, and Anglo-French traditions, each piece is filtered through a distinctly personal creative lens, resulting in a style that is unmistakable.

This Billiard is one of Rimensi's more restrained designs, defined by a sleek, streamlined silhouette that nods to classic Anglo-French standards. A tall bowl rises from a rounded heel and tapers subtly toward the rim, followed by a wide transition that leads into a long, measured shank and a slender saddle stem. Lightweight and well-balanced in hand, the pipe is finished in a crisp sandblast and elevated by a rich contrast stain that brings depth and vitality to the briar.
