About This Pipe
I've never seen a Tokutomi design like this before, however, digging back into our archives, I was able turn up a couple other examples from years past. Those were smooth, however, and, while beautifully grained, to my eye this jet-black sandblast just simply works much better in combination with the shaping. Sturdy and well-rooted, featuring a very compact, tightly-knit play in Toku's signature balanced asymmetry, the result is a thoroughly, charmingly fine marriage of the solid and the organic.
