About This Pipe
As the first female carver to win Best Pipe in Show at the West Coast Pipe Show, Silver Gray has managed to make quite the name for herself. That shouldn't be much of a surprise for those who have followed her work, however, her ability to combine elements of well-rounded bowls and crisp linework making her pipes stand out in any collection. The Eskimo Egg is one of her better-known pieces, its soft, Danish-style bowl and Bulldog-esque shank pairing to make for a piece that is as comfortable in hand as it is structured in profile, and it here wears one of her crisp, grain-enhancing sandblasts perfectly.
