Smooth Pencil Shank Quail Egg Tobacco Pipe

While Scottie's range of classically English shaped bowls are all great pairings to her signature Pencil Shank configurations, it's these fuller, plumper shapes like this Quail Egg that really drive the aesthetic home. The soft, supple curvature of the broad, low-set waistline is lent even more visual weight when set in contrast to such a slender, lengthy shank and stem configuration, accentuating the full cheeks to either flank against the well-defined transition. What's more, those plump curves translate to quite a comfortable feel in hand, fitting naturally to the contours of the palm and making for a piece that's just perfect to sit back and relax with. She's done some interesting things with the color palette in this example, finishing the briar in a deep walnut stain, accented by a thin band of white acrylic and a mouthpiece of navy blue and olive brindled vulcanite.
