About This Pipe
Carefully treading the line between plumpness and poise, this bent Brandy from Peter Heding is a remarkable example of the carver's penchant for imbuing an immense degree of detail and substance into a succinct, compact form. It sports an underside defined by one, continuous curve, initiated at the flared mortise-face, and flowing unimpeded beneath the transition before coming to rest at the lifting heel. Licks of effervescent flame grain dance along the flanks, both highlighting the lines of the composition and leading the eye to some equally impressive birdseye at the top and underside.
