About This Pipe
To say Hans "Former" Nielsen has mastered this straight Apple design would be an understatement, as it's a regular and much-loved staple of the Danish artisan's impressive portfolio, a workhorse design that has proven itself countless times. This iteration wears jet-black, low-profile sandblast to accentuate tight stacks of growth rings climbing the bowl, and is further elevated by a broad band of silver at the shank end.
Immediately recognizable as a Former from across the room, it displays a plumpness that runs low, giving it a streamlined aesthetic that makes me think it is eager to go places. The bowl is canted slightly forward, allowing the shank to exit low and stretch arrow-straight toward a lithe vulcanite saddle stem. Only 28 grams in weight and with a compact length in Nosewarmer territory, this is pipe ready to go anywhere and will look and smoke amazing when you get there.
