With a plump waistline and some easy, fluid lift to its heel and the fore of the rim, this Rhodesian from Tom Eltang is one of those elegant, Freehand-esque pieces that stands apart from his often minimalist and classical style of shaping. It's a piece that almost feels floral in profile, between the supple curvature of the bowl, the angled rim, and the sinuous line to its shank and stem, its organic nature further enhanced by one of Tom's fetching, vivid contrast stains highlighting some brilliant cross-grain at the flanks. The dual beadlines are subtle but present, offering just the right amount of mild texture in hand.
