About This Pipe

While he was born in Belgium, Bruno Nuttens has resided in France for nearly 20 years. He started his pipe-making career by restoring estate pipes while crafting some of his own in his spare time, and with the assistance and advice of pipe maker Pierre Morel, Nuttens was later able to accrue the skills and equipment to propel his career. Nuttens' portfolio features both traditional pieces and more expressive designs, the former represented by this bent Dublin offering. As part of Nuttens' Handmade series, this AAA-graded piece represents the finest work within the French artisan's portfolio, having been carved and finished entirely by hand. It's a charmingly bold take on the classic form, featuring a slender shank-and-stem arrangement that supports a tall, forward-ebbing bowl. An auburn smooth finish completes the composition, accentuating elegant tendrils of flame grain along the bowl's flanks. Lastly, a boxwood accent along the junction adds the perfect touch of contrast next to the cumberland stem.
