Sandblasted Bent Egg with Horn Tobacco Pipe

A beautiful, sandblasted number from Cornelius Mänz, this bent Egg benefits from asymmetric shaping not readily evident in profile, nor very apparent in hand. Viewed from the fore, however, and the playfully organic distribution of visual weight becomes readily apparent. Complementing this is the stunning sandblast Cornelius managed to coax here, with layer after layer of concentric ring grain climbing all flanks. The rim is kissed with just a light bit of smooth contrast, and the dark blasted texture is paired beautifully to a creamy, dynamic stretch of horn at the mount. Lovely work.
