Claudio Cavicchi is a skilled pipe maker with over 50 years of experience, known for his remarkable ability to highlight the intricate grain of each block of briar and transform it into stunning pieces. This grain-defining skill is handsomely showcased in this bent Dublin, boasting fine tendrils of flame grain along the bowl's flanks and a craggy, plateau-crowned rim. The walls of the bowl flare from a sharp, Picaxe-like heel which adds a touch of angularity to the composition. Traditional for Italian pipe-making, the bowl towers over the sleek, tapering shank-and-stem combination out back.
