About This Pipe
This bent Apple is what comes to mind when I imagine this sort of form realized by Benni Jorgensen. Making use of a playful sense of juxtaposition, this piece combines a forward-inclined, inflated sort of bowl with a tightly curving, lenticular shank and stem arrangement. The transition is neatly-tucked, and the shank's tight ridges serve to frame the shape marvelously, terminating in the gentle flick at the base of the stepped saddle stem. Finished in a warm contrast treatment, it's thoroughly packed with licks of flame and birdseye, complemented by a mount of some of the creamiest, uniform-color horn I've ever seen on a pipe. Awesome stuff.
