Smooth Long Shank Acorn Tobacco Pipe

Making fine use of his signature, arching line at the underside, this long shank Acorn from Benni Jorgensen sports an almost Scoop-like bowl, gesturally outstretched to make for a sense of organic posture in profile. The carver's imbued it with a bold, rounded shank, foregoing his typically flattened, lenticular variety, utilizing wind-swept flame to guide the eye to a lively, flaring shank-end. From here, Benni's lent the shape a neat, downturned saddle stem, offering a visual balance to the bowl's proportional weight in profile. It's finished in one of his lighter, warm contrasts, highlighting flame and birdseye alike with aplomb.
