Sandblasted Strawberry Wood Bent Egg (Four Clubs) Tobacco Pipe

Plump and soft of waistline, this bent Egg from Federico Becker is a piece that steers away from his usual, half-structured style of shaping, and leans further into his organic shaping methods. Rendered from strawberry wood, it wears a whole lot of rugged, wildly-patterned grain, strikingly different to those normally found in briar, and a dark stain goes a long way to offer up some class to the profile of the piece. There's a bit of asymmetry, as well, with the bowl's weight just a hint heavier on one side, which offers up a bit of extra organic charm all around. Excellent work, and certainly one of our favorites on this update.
