Sandblasted Morta Liverpool Tobacco Pipe

Bright stemwork isn't the only way Chris Askwith makes a classic stand out. Here, the carver makes use of both size and palette, with a long stretch of jet-black morta shank paired to a stem of lemony polyester in this Liverpool rendition. With a light bit of chamfering to the rim and some soft-lined curvature about the bowl, the result adheres to tradition quite well, while also showcasing the carver's penchant for making something a little outside the box.
