About This Pipe
Unusual stem materials are not unusual for Chris Askwith. Sometimes it's the medium itself (as with briar-stemmed pipe in this same update), sometimes it's bold patterns (see the straight Dublin and bent Egg in this same batch), and sometimes. sometimes it's just a color I can't recall having ever seen before. I'd call the stem of this otherwise simple, subdued, smooth-lined neoclassical Billiard "lime horn", because that's just what it looks like - acrylic with the coloration of natural horn, but tinted just slightly lime. It's odd to describe the color of a stem as having a refreshing impression, but in my defense, that's because this has never happened before. This stem, I mean.
