About This Pipe
Briar-wise, this is a fine rendition of the classic straight Dublin, as we would expect from Chris Askwith. Also as we tend to expect from Chris, the stem is unusual. Granted, by Askwith standards, Chris did keep the colors involved restrained, but the pattern is undeniably bold - I could best describe it as cream-and-mocha pinstripes along the underside, cream-and-mocha rising sun as viewed from above and to the rear, i.e. the smoker's usual perspective. As I've said before, if you like the shapes of classics, but also desire a palette of far more extroverted style, Chris is your man.
