Given its poised stance, vibrant contrast, and impeccable balance when sitting, it's no wonder why Jeff chose to name this Dublin sitter the "Dancing Dublin." The flame grain is both intense and playful, in part due to the understated undulating rings neatly stacked atop the vibrant bengal contrast. As the name suggests, it sits, and does so rather well with neither rim nor shank touching the desk — its stem poised high in the air in a manner not unlike the gestural style of traditional flamenco dance. Despite its rather organic style and powerful stance, the actual proportions of this briar remain fairly compact — a testament to Jeff's keen ability to pack as much artful shaping as possible into a handy, accessible design. If I were in the market for a dynamic desk pipe, this isn't one I'd want to miss.
