Distinctive in its precision, this bent Bulldog from Scott Thile features crisp, sharp ridging along the diamond shank, and the transition is carefully executed to maintain cheeking of the bowl. The side ridges sweep onto the bowl where they dissipate invisibly into nonexistence, leaving the contrast stain to monopolize one's attention with mesmerizing grain. The stem is just as precise as the stummel, its own ridging sharp and defined on the sides, and spreading top and bottom to the width of the lip button. The rim is flat and slightly concave, and the broad expanse of birdseye revealed above the bead lines.
