About This Pipe
Claudio Cavicchi has spent over half a century mastering his craft and possesses an uncanny talent for bringing out the very best from a block of briar. While all of his pieces are made of high-quality briar and showcase expert shaping, there is a grading system among the artisan's pipes to further designate their individual caliber. Thanks to its gorgeous grain and masterful shaping, this particular offering has received an impressive CCCC grade.
This is quite a distinctive take on the Rhodesian. The bowl comes to an Acorn-like point, yet it still retains the high-set, beadline-adorned waist of the shape-chart standard. Out back, a subtly flared shank emerges from the wide transition, arcing slightly as it approaches the saddle stem. Said stem demonstrates a deep bend, which promotes a comfortable smoking posture. Dressed in a smooth, honey-blonde finish, the stummel showcases a wealth of stunning grain that has earned this pipe its impressive four-C grade.
