About This Pipe
Claudio Cavicchi has spent over half a century honing his craft and possesses an uncanny talent for bringing out the very best from a block of briar. While all of his pieces are made of high-quality briar and showcase expert shaping cues, there is a grading system among the artisan's pipes to further designate their individual caliber. Thanks to its gorgeous grain and masterful shaping, this bent Billiard has received an impressive "CCC" grade.
This particular offering pairs a large, hearty bowl to a sinuous shank-and-stem arrangement. The walls of the bowl are sturdy and cylindrical, and house a roomy chamber within. The heel of the bowl is tautly-rounded and flows seamlessly into the cascading shank and stem. Said stem is acrylic and boasts broad, saddled shoulders and a deeply bent mouthpiece for a comfortable clench. The stummel of this offering is dressed in a honey-blonde stain and smooth finish that showcase the briar's exceptional grain.
