About This Pipe
I've seen a few Volcanoes from Scott Thile before, and a few bamboo-extended designs as well, but this is the first I've yet handled that combined the two. I approve. Scott's executed the formula in a lovely fashion, with a softly rolling style of bowl, in essence a gentler take on the common surfing/wave style of Volcano, paired up through a stretched transition to four pale, lightly curved knuckles of bamboo, and finally trailed by the slight recurve and easy taper of the stem, itself sporting a modified base that continues the form as well as the rhythm of the preceding bamboo.
Also, it doesn't hurt that there's lot's of fine flame and birdseye to be had, arranged in all the right places.
