What? Leaf? throw it in the emergency cellar

This does have a top note but Im not sure what it is. I get red virginia with green tomato in the tin note and its quite pleasant. Thats where it ends though. The leaf is of inferior quality. After the first draw or two the flavor completely dies off to just hot air. This is proof you can’t take bad leaf and make it good just by pressing it or stoving it. My tin was 2 years old when I smoked it. However, I only smoked one bowl of it so take this as opinion only. Its now in the zombie cellar with the other crappy tobaccos that get smoked in case of supply chain disruption due to zombie apocalypse....Read More

Excellent tobacco combination almost like the peterson flake in plug form with no toppings. This is a review where the production was in Feb and it was smoked in July not much time to mature. This was my first purchase of a plug type of tobacco. I smoked it shortly after purchase, without giving it much time to mature. I also acknowledge that I may need to refine how it was smoked to maximize my enjoyment. It wasn't bad, but I didn't find it remarkable. My current preference leans toward Latakia blends. Very nice light Virginia plug with bright citrus/hay forward and a sweetness that doesn't overwhelm the tobacco. Also a little malty undertone. The way I chose to cut did affect the smoke. A fine shag amped up flavor and heat but didn't bite with gentle cadence. Cube/rough cut gave me best results with no bite & burned slowly and cool. No harshness but my tin had 2yrs age....Read More
