About This Pipe
This is the first Prince shape we've apparently received from Gustavo Cunha of Martelo pipes, and it's nothing if not impressive. Interpreted through the carver's often softly-inclined, playfully proportioned lens, it wears a firm, broad-based heel, with a neatly-tucked transition, leading to a languid shank and stem arrangement. Shaping aside, however, Gustavo opted for a gorgeous outer presentation as well: a rich, smoldering contrast, accentuated loads of striking flame, and juxtaposed with none other than a creamy mammoth bone accent. The very old off-white material is practically pearlescent under light, which is just where you'll want to take this briar for a good, long look. Beautiful work.
