About This Pipe

With clear lines defining the languid curve along the oval shank, a subtly canted bowl that sits easily atop a well defined transition, and a sliver of a saddle stem whose slight downturn completes the s-curve started in the shank, this Apple is pure Tupitsyn. Well, excepting the fact that the young Russian wears his influences on his sleeve, especially those of Poul Ilsted, whom can be easily identified in the approach to lines in the shank and stem. Alexander has come a long way since his early PS Studio days, but it's refreshing to see that he can still keep elements of his roots while simultaneously having developed his own aesthetic voice.
