About This Pipe Tobacco

Manufactured in a century-old brick building in picturesque Lauenburg, Germany, Dan pipe tobacco has gained quite a worldwide reputation among smokers, with a wide variety of blends and cuts on offer. Andreas Mund became the successor in charge of production when master blender Jürgen Westphal retired, and is assisted by Heiko Behrens as well as Michael Apitz of Dan Pipe.

Blue Note leans into Golden Virginias, that have a naturally high sweetness, mixed with a mellow Black Cavendish. A fresh flavor of exotic fruits and a touch of bourbon and vanilla is added to make this an extraordinarily enticing Aromatic.

When I First started this hobby was one of my favorites. Great taste, some say coconut but I'll just say kinda tropical, whatever that's worth. Its real smooth. The problem I now have is it just burns to hot. Gotta be careful and sip. Can't chase after that tropical goodness, it will most certainly bite you. Not a goopy aromatic by any means

This tobacco has a wonderful coconut-vanilla flavor that sublimate the tobacco flavors perfectly. It isn’t goopy or overly cased at all, in fact it burns very well and tastes great. Dan is definitely one of my favorite brands cheers and happy piping 💨

this blend does burn a bit hotter. i am not sure it bites though. i can definitely feel the heat on my tongue, but it does not burn. lighting this is a delicate process, be very cautious of your flame position. keep it higher than you think.

the flavor on this is stellar. the vanilla really leads the way here, but other than that the middle note is the flavor of these tobaccos. beneath that, i get an ever so slight bitterness, mixed with the slight spice of a bourbon. i bit above that is where the fruits come in. pear and blueberry is what i get here. this is a blend where you really want to take your time. tasting everything can be a very tedious challenge, but it is very worth it when you figure it out. i will definitely pull this out on special occasions....Read More
