About This Cigar
Committed to the cigar making tradition established by his father and grandfather, Nick Perdomo Jr. began making cigars out of his garage, naming the operation "Nick's Cigar Co." This humble home business would become Tabacalera Perdomo in 1992, renowned throughout the cigar world. The company soon outgrew every location it moved to, eventually settling in Estelí, Nicaragua, where its handmade cigars are still produced today. Now, the 4th generation of Perdomo is at the helm, with Nicholas Perdomo III continuing the legacy of those before him.
The star of Perdomo's Habano Bourbon Barrel-Aged Connecticut cigars is the illustrious wrapper: Not only is the Ecuadorian Connecticut leaf aged for six years, but it, then, spends another six months inside bourbon barrels, taking on the subtle notes and nuances of the flavor imparted by the spirit to the wood. Further commended by fillers from the esteemed Jalapa, Condega, and Estelí regions of Nicaragua and a binder comprised of high-priming Cuban seed, the Habano Bourbon Barrel-Aged Connecticut boasts a creamy profile, tastefully underscored by the bourbon barrels' influence, for a mild- to medium-bodied smoke.
